Food & Beverage Service Certificate | 4 Months

Course Description:

The F&B Service Certificate at HTMi Saudi Arabia is a comprehensive four-month program designed  to provide students with essential skills and knowledge in food and beverage  service. This course focuses on practical training in service techniques, customer interaction, and hospitality standards. Through hands- on learning experiences and simulations, students will develop the confidence and expertise required to excel in various F&B service roles within the hospitality industry.

Course Objectives:

  • To introduce students to the fundamentals of food and beverage service, including table setup, order taking, and serving techniques.
  • To develop students’ customer service skills and enhance their ability to interact professionally with guests, anticipate their needs, and provide personalized service.
  • To familiarize students with different types of F&B establishments, such as restaurants, cafes, bars, and banquet facilities, and their respective service standards.
  • To instill a sense of professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail in F&B service operations.
  • To prepare students for entry-level positions in food and beverage service or further education in hospitality management.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Upon completion of the Food & Beverage Service Certificate, students will be able to:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in F&B service techniques, including table setup, napkin folding, and tray handling.
  • Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, relay them to the kitchen or bar promptly, and ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Provide attentive and personalized service to guests by addressing their inquiries, making recommendations, and accommodating special requests.
  • Utilize service equipment such as trays, serving utensils, and beverage dispensers effectively and safely.
  • Handle guest payments accurately and process transactions using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other F&B team members to coordinate service and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in F&B service areas, including dining rooms, service stations, and beverage stations.
