Housekeeping Certificate | 4 Months

Course Description:

The Housekeeping Certificate at HTMi Saudi Arabia is a comprehensive four-month program designed  to provide students with essential skills and knowledge in hotel and hospitality housekeeping operations. This course focuses on practical training in cleaning techniques, room setup, and guest services. Through hands-on learning experiences and simulations, students will develop the skills and attention to detail required to maintain high standards  of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in hotel and accommodation settings.

Course Objectives:

  • To introduce students to the principles and practices of housekeeping in the hospitality industry.
  • To develop students’ proficiency in cleaning techniques, room setup, and guest services.
  • To familiarize students with housekeeping equipment, products, and safety procedures.
  • To instill professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail in housekeeping operations.
  • To prepare students for entry-level positions in hotel housekeeping or further education in hospitality management.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Upon completion of the Housekeeping Certificate, students will be able to:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cleaning and sanitation techniques for different surfaces and areas within a hotel or
  • accommodation establishment.
  • Prepare guest rooms efficiently and to the highest standards, including bed making, bathroom cleaning, and replenishing amenities.
  • Utilize housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, cleaning carts, and linen carts safely and effectively.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Understand and follow housekeeping procedures, including room inspection, reporting maintenance issues, and handling lost and found items.
  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas, linen rooms, and supply closets.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and standards to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
